Echo Done

Today Eva had her echocardiogram at St. Mary's.  The tech said I won't know anything official until Monday, but she told me that I should not worry.  That makes me feel better for now.  Here are some pictures.

Working

This past week I started working part-time from home for my last employer.  I had tried to work something out during my maternity leave, but they did not want me to work from home.  A month after I officially resigned they had not replaced me so I decided to capitalize on their need!  Two and a half months later they finally agreed to letting me work from home temporarily.  At this point it is working out extremely well.  I am so thankful that the Lord has provided a way for us to have some additional income for now!

Daddy and Eva sick

Eva has had a little cough for a while but it is getting worse.  Daddy also caught the same thing (at least we think.)  We've had Eva to the doctor already because of this cough but they said it was just leftover remnants of a cold.  At this point it appears to be a little more than that - we are thinking she has some sinus drainage causing the cough (at least, that's what Daddy has.)

Justin is going to the doctor tomorrow, and we'll probably take Eva back on Tuesday.  Please pray for a speedy recovery for both!

Doctor Visit Update

Eva's appointment went well.  It was very hard to watch her cry when she got her shots.  She seemed to be more upset this time than last time.  We had some routine questions that the doctor answered and everything looked good.  He said that she had a little bit of a cold that should probably be gone by Friday.

There was one concern.  When Eva was first born there was a heart scare.  Right before we were leaving the hospital they ran almost 10 different tests.  They said things seemed to be OK for now but to keep an eye out for certain things.  At the doctor today he heard a heart murmur and said that he wants her to have an echocardiogram (ultrasound on the heart).   He said 95% of babies get a heart murmur and among them 99% of the time there is no problem.  But combined with her "low resting heart rate" they want to do this test.

Please pray for Eva Mae that she is healthy and that nothing is wrong!  We know that the Lord is in control and that we can trust in that.

Vaccinations Tomorrow!

Hello,

Please pray for Eva Mae, she has to get her second set of shots Wednesday.  Pray that all goes as well as these things can go and that she will not have a lot of pain or any other side effects.

Thank you so much for all of your support!

Eva is a ham when we get the camera out.  She actually knows that she has to smile/pose until it flashes.  I took 18 pictures of her last night and every single one was beautiful!!  Here a some of them:

Chic-fil-A

We have a Chic-fil-A about a mile down the street.  Today was, 'dress like me.  git free chikin.  Cow appreciation day'.  Eva and I opted for "If you're sporting a partial cow look, get a FREE ENTREE for your effort'.  So I made Eva and I matching shirts and went with my girlfriend and her son for lunch.  Eva looked so cute!  And she even got a kids entree (which I ate :).

Day One of Solids

Eva's first solid food was banana which she had today. In the past we have let her lick apples, cherries, grapes, bananas and a few other foods but we have never given her any to eat.  Today we gave her banana in a mesh container and a little banana puree.  She loved it!  We have a magic bullet (thanks Mommy and Larry!) and are planning to make our own baby food.  Any advice or tips welcome!

First Photo Shoot

Eva had her first photo shoot at Sears.  That was so much fun!

This picture was not a pose, it happened naturally and she snapped the shot
