Aimee and I went to a local Mexican Place called La Fogata tonight for dinner.  Tasty as always. Here are some pictures of Eva to enjoy.

I can't decide between the Fajita Burrito and the Chimichangas... Waiter - do you have any barbequed iguana?

 I skipped the Corona and just went straight for the lime.

Grandma Came to Visit!

Last week my Mother came down from Pennsylvania to see little Eva Mae (who's getting bigger every day!)  Mom was nice enough to bring down a walker, which Eva loves, as well as some of my toys from when I was young, and dozens of pictures of me that I did not know even existed!  Aimee made me a very special photo album of all the pictures, from the day I was born through high school! 

Grandma (who prefers to be called Gracie) also bought us a new high chair while she was down.  My mom is about as elusive as Bigfoot when it comes to pictures, so I don't have much to offer, but enjoy!

Here is a record player that I had as a kid.  Old toys rock!  It still works as good as the day it was new.

New News

Week of Oct 12th:

• Eva often tries to hum and sing a long with me when I sing.
• Talking often and trying to combine sounds. Giggly and very happy
• On the 13th she turned 9 months!
• 17 lbs, 4 oz (with clothes) and 27 inches!
• Started clapping
• Stood up without anything around. She has done this twice while holding a toy with both hands.
• 4 teeth! Two on top and two on the bottom
• Understanding cause and effect. Often times when Eva wakes up from a nap and I can't immediately get her. She cries so I can hear her, so I whistle to her to let her know I hear her and that I am coming and she stops crying and waits quietly for me :). Yesterday when I whistled instead of being quiet she said, "mama-mama-mama". So sweetly until I came! It made me really happy!

Personality and Growth Update

Week of Oct 5th: Eva has grown into quite a charming young lady. We were out to eat after church when she decided to charm a waiter. She leaned back in her high chair, extended her arm to the waiter who was about to pass behind her. He was drawn in, so he kneeled beside her as she smirked and looked him in the eyes as she stroked his face. It was so sweet! My cheeks hurt from smiling so much! It was as if she found her true love!

Pulls herself into a standing position, lets go and stands alone for up to 15 seconds!

Sat and "read" a magazne. She took it off the shelf, plopped down and starting looking and turning pages.

End of September

One of the things that I love so much about being a Mommy is the way Eva wants me to hold her when she is sleepy and wants to cuddle. I am not sure if I have posted about this previously, but I am going to mention it again. I hold her close to me and she puts her head on my right shoulder, with her left them in her mouth and her right hand playing with my hair! I love it so much. Then I pace in her room and sing or talk to her. Some times I just hold her close and enjoy that wonderful feeling!
